Sunday Funnies – Shipping Options

Wednesday March 20 is the Vernal Equinox, the day  when daylight hours begin to be longer than night.  The first day of Spring!!  Put on some shorts and make a snow angel!

I’ve had my share of shipping and delivery problems.  For instance I have a sign on my front porch, directing delivery drivers to the back porch for deliveries.  My back porch is weather proof, and not as obvious as the front porch for porch pirates.  In the winter I don’t shovel the front walk as a way to discourage deliveries there.  Yet every once in a while a driver just leaves the package in front.  In the snow.  In the rain.  With a big blue Dell logo on the box.  Or they leave it at the back porch, outside, in the rain, instead of taking one more step and putting it inside.  Heavy sigh.

Another time, I ordered a computer from Amazon.  Amazon used UPS or FedEx to get the package to my town, then handed it off to the USPS.  Never got it, and when I checked with the PO, I found the delivery had been made using GPS coordinates instead of the street address!  My “neighbor” who got the computer denied ever seeing it.  Hope you are enjoying it, loser!

Would You Give This Guy Your House Keys?
This guy is Jeff Bezos, the CEO of the gargantuan super-retailer Amazon.com. Would you give him the keys to your house?  No?  Well now you can!  Amazon recently launched their new Amazon Key service, a smartphone app controlled door lock.  Pretty sure that’s not going to happen, ever!
