Phishing Email Alerts

Catch of the Day: GFax Message Phish
Examples of clever phish that made it past my anti-spam nets and into my inbox. Some are contributed by clients or readers like you, and other reliable sources on the Internet.

You can send phishing samples to me at phish@wyzguys.com.

My intention is to provide a warning and show current examples of phishing scams, related articles, and education about how these scams and exploits work, and how to detect them in your inbox. If the pictures are too small or extend off the page, double clicking the image will display them in a photo viewer app.

GFax Message Phish

This is pretty obviously a spoof.  The sender email is wrong, and the unusual use of spaces, periods, hypens, and underscores indicate that this is a fake.  The Read Message link resolves to https://list-manage.agle1.cc/click?u=https://www.google.com.np/amp/s/ioweb.live/#?im=Ym9iQHd5emd1eXMuY29t then redirected to https://g-fax.one/red.php?tap=v7l3pcqfDvPWGksLzkratPZcEpiMVfFBQjo3SvU5jiS1UbDnTqdwY7ydTifTnQjt2nWA30y3iYuE4TLFE7d7zXqsTjeERKirkGMr46hRJkxdb0k7ZFgOd0DEWvVQAnJK  This drops us on a credential stealing landing page  See below.

Here is the landing page
