Best Job Sites for IT Pros

Let’s say one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to get a better job in 2015.  If you are an IT professional looking for your next employment opportunity, below is a short list of employments sites, many that specialize exclusively in information technology jobs.  For those of you who are looking at information security as a career move, be aware that there is a –7% unemployment rate in this sector.  That’s right, there are 7% more jobs than qualified applicants for information security professionals.

  • Monster.com – the biggest, although not specializing in IT jobs.
  • LinkedIn.com – this professional social networking site has blossomed into on of the best ways to have your next job find you.  We personally have been offered some rather unusual and high paying opportunities through LinkedIn that we were not specifically looking for, but were happy to accept.
  • Dice.com – the biggest of the tech job sites
  • TechCareers.com – an IT jobs collaboration of Beyond and CareerNetwork
  • JustTechJobs.com – a bare-bones approach to IT job search
  • iCruchData.com – popular with big name employers such as Amazon, Microsoft, and NASA.
  • ITJobPro.com – this site looks beyond US borders. If you are looking for an international job, this may be for you.
