Most Popular Passwords and PINs for 2019

If you are using one of these passwords or PINs to “secure” your computer, smartphone, or online accounts you are in danger of having your digital life cracked and compromised.  The passwords have been cracked, are on sale on the Dark Web, and will be the FIRST passwords tried by an attacker.  If you are using one of these, please change it now.

The lists that follow were created by analyzing the passwords stolen in the top security breaches of last year.  We have published the most popular password list previously, and thought it might be good to remind our readers again.

The mobile phone PINs shown in the list will unlock 26% of all smartphones.  That means 20 tries, or less, will unlock a quarter of all smartphones.
