Windows 7 Set To Launch On October 22

Microsoft has released the launch date for Windows 7 for October 22. Buyers of new laptops and PCs with Vista installed will be given the opportunity to upgrade to Win7 for free or at a very low cost, depending on the Vista version. Windows 7 is reported to be a vast improvement in performance over Windows Vista on the same equipment. People who own Vista computers should be able to upgrade without any hardware changes, and Vista device drivers work in Win7.
